Terms and conditions of sale

 

ON-Line sales

 

The on-line sales service accepts payment by Visa and MasterCard Credit and Debit cards only. The prices quoted for all items are in £ Pounds Sterling.  The exchange rate of the day applies when paying in US Dollars or Euros.

 

Credit card payments must be to a minimum value of £10.

 

The Delivery and Returns Policies for on-line services are the same as for postal and email transactions.

 

Orders for merchandise as shown on the website can be made to the Philatelic Bureau via the on-line secure service and alternatively through the postal, telephone, facsimile and email services, details of which are shown following.

 

Postal / email transactions.

 

Payment for philatelic items can be made by Sterling or US Dollar cheques, UK Postal Order or cash in the currency of Sterling, US Dollars or Euros.  Visa and MasterCard Credit and Debit cards are also accepted.

 

Credit card payments must be of £10 or more in value.

 

A handling & postage charge of £2 is currently made with a further £3.50 optional charge for Registered Post.  Handling charges and postage rates may change at anytime without prior notification.  Changes when made will be displayed on the site.

 

For the ease of communication in case of difficulties, a current email address or telephone number is required.

Delivery Policy

 

On receipt of a bone-fide order, the Staff of the Philatelic Bureau will endeavour to despatch your items ordered within 10 working days.  It is emphasized that a current full postal address is submitted with your order.  In the event that items ordered are either out of stock or the line has ceased, notification will be made as soon as ordinarily practicable and the necessary adjustments to payments made accordingly.  All goods are despatched by Airmail and it is anticipated that delivery may take up to 2 weeks after despatch depending on where you live.

 

Returns Policy

 

All items purchased and found to be defective can be returned for replacement or refund to the above address within one month of purchase.  It is advisable to notify the Philatelic Bureau in advance of returning items to ensure that the due date is met.

 

Please note:

 

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the goods are despatched from the Falkland Islands in a secure and well protected manner, there is no guarantee implied as to the nature of the packages on receipt.

 

We will endeavour to provide up to date information at all times, both on the website and on any material released from the Philatelic Bureau either by Post or email.
